Meet Owner Courtney Wolfrom

A career of marketing and public relations management in the non-profit tourism industry taught me that you didn’t have to have a huge budget to make big impacts in marketing.  I found that using both established and evolving tools in inventive ways could really help drive success for smaller entities.  Not following traditional marketing mediums and “rules” definitely created challenges, but luckily I had an executive who encouraged outside the box solutions since our budget was limited in comparison to many of our competitors.

Quite a few of the businesses we collaborated with were small and/or locally owned, and as part of my role, I often helped promote them as part of a bigger package.  If I thought my budget was limited, theirs was minuscule in comparison.  I was able to utilize my freedom in experimenting with unconventional strategies to assist their marketing efforts as well.  And my love of helping small businesses was born!

So, after a decade of working in a corporate capacity, I needed to be more flexible in my work schedule for my family.  I decided I could use my experience to aid smaller businesses

in achieving big things through unique marketing tactics. Combined with general concern that unique products, community connections, brand loyalty, and customer-driven service was disappearing, I created Small Mouth Marketing in 2015, and have been passionately helping folks reach their goals ever since!

During my ten-year corporate tenure, I won

twenty-three awards for marketing, including: unique advertising campaigns, innovative niche marketing initiatives, annual reporting, customer outreach, communications & e-newsletters, and digital & web presence development.
